Framed Canvas Print: The Kittizen HUG by Rob Anderson
Framed Canvas Print: The Kittizen HUG by Rob Anderson
The Kittizen Hug is an original work of art by NYC, Queens born artist, Rob Anderson. The origins for its composition style date back to the 90's because of a video game level called "Facing Worlds," oddly enough. In Rob's early early drawings, he replaced the building details with people and deities interacting across landscapes and chasms. In 2022, Rob worked on a "facing worlds" style painting in Budapest highlighting a king and queen embracing while holding a flower between them, representing care for family. Much to his suprise, he later strolled past a sculpture called the "Lookout" statue which depicted the Prince of Buda and Princess of Pest reaching towards each other across the Danube River- a synchronicity to Rob's painting. Continually inspired by this composition, Rob was later enlisted by Randi Zuckerberg to produce an interactive art canvas for HUGfest, her art marketplace venture launch. The design of two Kittizens embracing and dancing was meant to serve as an art hug while being colored in by 150 people during the event. Now, Rob prefers to call the composition style "embracing worlds." The painting was carefully adapted for print production, and features bright, loving colors, and crispy line work that's both intricate, yet serene. Purrfect for cat lovers, art enthusiasts, and anyone who deserves a BIG art hug.
